Storybook Tails
Inspired by our Farm’s storybook theme, this literacy initiative is dedicated to the powerful relationship forged between young minds and Storybook’s tail-wagging pups. Studies have shown reading aloud improves ability, boosts self-esteem and unlocks the wonder of books.
Flat Stanley’s Sensory Trail
Named in honor of our little gray pony, Stanley, this lengthy wooded trail contains 15 activity stations blazing the way to engage with nature, stimulate the senses and strengthen gross/fine motor skills.
The plan to start a garden at Storybook Farm was just a teeny seed in the Fall of 2015. Less than a year later, our teeny seeds blossomed into a full-fledged vegetable garden in which our riders and their families can touch, see, smell, and even taste the magic of Storybook. This garden is yet another example of Storybook’s unwavering commitment to its families. We hope in the same way that the garden in Frances Hodgson Burnett’s novel enriched her character’s lives, Storybook’s garden will cultivate opportunities for our riders and their families to learn, grow, and explore God’s wonderful creations.
In 2019, we unveiled the Fox and the Hound Playground, the enchanting play space for kids and canines, like Mr. Banks, to explore and form fairytale friendships that reduce anxiety and promote emotional development.
The Paddington Arena is a place where kids can leave their troubles behind. Accompanied by horses, volunteers and their imaginations, children participate in equine therapy here.
